Now that both Cambridge shops are operational, we would like to start doing monthly jumble sales again, to sell off stock that is too good to throw away or sell for recycling, but is not quite good enough for the shops.
To do this, we need to recruit a team of at least five helpers to deal with the process of carrying the jumble down to Mill Road Baptist church, setting up and manning the stalls and clearing up afterwards.
Donated items for sale will be stored at our charity shop at 188 Mill road, which is just a few doors down from the church.
Previous jumble sales normally started at around 11 am and had finished by 3 pm with about an hour's work before and after.
If you might be interested in helping, please drop in to 188 Mill Road between 10 am and 5 pm Monday-Saturday, or email (camshop@rspcabookshop.co.uk) or phone (01223 212 644).
You can become a member of the RSPCA by joining via the internet. Membership will give you voting rights on important issues and the chance of joining your local branch committee as well as simply supporting the society, so it is very worthwhile if you want to help animals.
